This position is responsible for performing duties required in the operation, maintenance, construction and repair of transmission and distribution systems. The role involves constructing and maintaining overhead and underground electric lines and equipment, inspecting existing primary and secondary power lines and substation equipment, and investigating trouble on lines to locate the cause of power outages. The Journeyworker will also maintain and operate vehicles and equipment, perform rubber glove work on energized lines, and work on de-energized or grounded lines or equipment. Additionally, the position requires participation in scheduled training, assisting in the training of others, and adhering to safety regulations. The role may also involve collecting delinquent accounts, working various shifts, and participating in call-out duty. Leadership responsibilities include guiding and instructing subordinates, managing construction projects, and ensuring a safe work environment. The Journeyworker will also update the UC mapping system, participate in damage claims, resolve customer complaints, and implement corporate and departmental policies.
