This position is responsible for performing duties required in the operation, maintenance, construction and repair of transmission and distribution systems. It involves demonstrating mastery of apprentice-level duties, constructing and maintaining electric lines and equipment, inspecting power lines and substation equipment, investigating trouble and power outages, and performing rubber glove work on energized lines. The role also includes training others, adhering to safety regulations, and potentially collecting delinquent accounts. Availability for call-out duty and various shifts is required. The position is responsible for maintaining construction standards, leading job briefings, approving invoices and work orders, and ensuring a safe and reliable system for members. It also involves managing construction project completion, participating in emergency restoration, updating mapping systems, handling damage claims, resolving customer complaints, and providing guidance to employees. The Journeyworker will implement corporate policies, discuss job performance, teach job duties, instruct subordinates in the absence of a supervisor, and coordinate with other departments. They will also conduct safety meetings, operate PEC vehicles, maintain driver eligibility, and ensure the security of confidential information. A range of leadership activities, training, and communication of policies to subordinates are expected, ensuring employees understand their responsibilities.
