Reporting to the Mechanical Service Manager, the Journeyperson Millwright supports field work across the Okanagan region. This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on mechanical systems at client sites while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. This is a flexible, as-needed position designed to support fluctuating workloads and project demands, with the potential for additional hours and future full-time opportunities as the business continues to grow.

Requirements

  • Red Seal Millwright certification
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with reliable transportation
  • Owns personal hand tools and CSA-approved safety footwear
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to perform welding is considered an asset
  • Experience working in food and beverage, manufacturing, distribution, and/or recycling plants is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial mechanical equipment using technical drawings and schematics as a reference
  • Perform welding and metal fabrication to repair, modify, and install industrial equipment and components
  • Travel to client locations throughout the Okanagan region
  • Inspect equipment, diagnose mechanical issues, and recommend corrective or preventative maintenance solutions to improve reliability and performance
  • Identify potential safety concerns on site and follow established procedures to complete work safely
  • Complete required documentation, maintenance records, and service reports in a timely and accurate manner

Benefits

  • Wage: $40.00-$44.00 per hour
