About The Position

Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, the Journeyperson Millwright will work throughout the Lower Mainland, taking on everything from equipment installations and breakdown repairs to preventative maintenance, upgrades, and facility moves. No two customer sites are quite the same, giving you the opportunity to solve new problems, expand your experience, and work alongside other skilled tradespeople. Depending on the project and your experience, you may also have opportunities to mentor apprentices, provide guidance to the crew, or help coordinate work on site when the Foreman is away.

Requirements

  • Red Seal Millwright certification
  • Experience working for a mechanical or industrial contractor and/or in industrial environments such as food & beverage, manufacturing, distribution, recycling, or processing facilities
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair skills
  • The ability to adapt to different customer sites, equipment, and working environments
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation
  • Your own basic hand tools and approved safety footwear
  • A strong commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with customers, apprentices, and other trades

Responsibilities

  • Travel to a variety of industrial sites throughout the Lower Mainland
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and upgrade mechanical equipment and systems
  • Take ownership of your work from start to finish, ensuring it meets scope and quality standards
  • Communicate directly with customers, keeping them informed and setting clear expectations throughout the job
  • Work independently and collaboratively with other trades depending on the project
  • Support and mentor apprentices and, when required, take the lead in the Foreman’s absence
  • Work safely and follow all company and regulatory requirements, including completing daily FLRAs
