About The Position

Finning is growing fast—and so are the opportunities! We’re hiring a Ticketed Maintenance Person for our Fort McKay shop facility. The successful candidate will be a Journeyman Electrician, and preference will be given to candidates who also have a Power Engineering Ticket. This position is responsible for facilities maintenance and preventative maintenance activities, be self-motivated individual and a team player with highly developed organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Requirements

Journeyperson Electrician, with preference given to those candidates who also have a Power Engineering Ticket.
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in a facility maintenance related role is mandatory
Proficient in computer maintenance management systems
Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present effectively
Strong planning and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to adapt with ever changing business needs and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Exceptionally strong relationship management skills with a strong customer focus

Responsibilities

Evaluate vendor quotations for validity and provide recommendations for revision or approval
Review inspection and repair documents for accuracy, completeness and adherence to scope requirements
Track and provide technical input/recommendations on inspection and repair reports
Using the CMMS program, maintain a history of all inspections and repairs
Contact the appropriate vendors for prompt repairs
Follow-up on recommendations for improvement and ensure implementation
