SMS Equipment is looking for a Journeyperson Electrician residing in the Acheson area. Requirements

  • Journeyperson Electrician certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mining experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and OEM drawings and electrical code specifications.
  • Proven ability to follow and maintain workplace health and safety practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Komatsu AC Electric Drive Haul Trucks and other mining equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair haul trucks, shovels, and other mining equipment.
  • Support component repair/rebuild, equipment assembly, and maintenance activities.
  • Install new parts and electrical systems following industry standards and site-specific practices.
  • Perform component failure analysis to identify root causes and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with customers and other tradespeople to resolve technical issues efficiently.
