About The Position

Finning Canada is looking for passionate Journeyperson Electricians (Red Seal preferred) to join our industry leading team based in Surrey, BC. As the Journeyperson Electrician, your responsibilities include the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy electrical and power generation equipment including: gen-sets, electronic controls, PLCs, HMIs and switchgears. Requirements

Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred)
FSRA or FSRB credential would be considered an asset
Power Generation experience would be considered an asset
Generator Rebuild experience would be considered an asset
Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be considered an asset
Team player capable of working with minimal supervision, in challenging conditions
Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
Ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator

Responsibilities

Service, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and power generation equipment
Service and troubleshoot electronic controls, PLCs, HMIs, and electrical switchgear
Build, construct and test electrical panels
Load test power generation equipment
Assist in fulfilling our customer service commitment
