About The Position

Laketown Electric Corporation is seeking multiple Foremen, Journeymen and Master Electricians to join our award-winning team. We are a large commercial and industrial electrical contractor with offices in the Twin Cities and Mankato, MN. Our projects consist of the maintenance and construction of healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, institutional and industrial facilities. Established in 1975, Laketown Electric is celebrating its 50th year in business. Thanks to our best backlog ever, we have consistent work well through 2026 and beyond.

Requirements

  • Class A MN Journeyman Electrician License
  • Valid MN Driver’s License
  • Familiarity with email and project management software like Procore
  • Perform as a self-starter and a team player
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the capability to troubleshoot and make logical project minded decisions
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman License
  • Commercial/Industrial Electrical Experience

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with national codes and regulations.
  • Work on construction sites to build and renovate electrical systems, ensuring all installations meet quality standards.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and logic controllers.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless integration of electrical work with other construction activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and always maintain a clean work environment
  • Administrate project documentation in ProCore
