About The Position
We’re looking for a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our production team and help bring our high-quality products to life. This role goes beyond the torch, you'll mentor others, troubleshoot problems on the floor, and take pride in producing precise, strong, and clean welds that meet our industry-leading standards.
Requirements
- Alberta Journeyman Welder certification
- Minimum 2 years' welding experience
- Strong mechanical skills and blueprint reading ability
- Knowledge of safety protocols, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Positive, team-focused attitude and natural leadership qualities
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs, crouch, climb, and stand for long periods
- Able to pass a drug/alcohol test, mask fit, audiometric, and functional fitness tests
Nice To Haves
- production facility experience is a bonus!
Responsibilities
- Weld and fabricate components using MIG and wire processes
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Operate welding and cutting tools (GMAW, hand plasma, oxyacetylene)
- Inspect your work and maintain high quality and safety standards
- Suggest improvements and support team performance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace
- Act as a role model for safety and production best practices
