About The Position
Our Clean Harbors Nisku, AB location, is currently looking for a B Pressure Welder to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application of trade skills to a wide variety of welding, fitting and custom fabrication.
Requirements
- B Pressure Welder certification
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications
- Operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas metal arc welding pulse (GMAW-P/ STT), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and submerged arc welding (SAW)
- Operating flame-cutting/ plasma cutting equipment
- Operating metal-shaping machines such as iron workers, drill presses, and other metal straightening and bending machines
- Removing metal and/or preparing materials for welding by gouging and grinding
- Ensuring all welding equipment is clean and functional
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of welding equipment
- Layout on vessels and piping
- Standing for long periods of time. Lifting light to moderate weights
- Other duties as assigned
