About The Position
JGM is hiring Journeyman Welders for structural steel work in Russellville, KY. This role requires individuals who can weld and work with steel, not just those with extensive welding experience. The project duration is 7 weeks with potential for additional work. The work involves welding structural steel and handrail, assisting with erection, bolt-up, and rigging, reading prints, following weld procedures, and working at heights.
Requirements
- Proven structural welding experience (3+ yrs)
- Ironworker background (not shop-only welders)
- Able to pass weld test if required
- 50–60+ hours/week
Nice To Haves
- Stick (SMAW) 3G/4G welding skills
- Experience with structural and miscellaneous steel
Responsibilities
- Weld structural steel and handrail
- Assist with erection, bolt-up, and rigging
- Read prints and follow weld procedures
- Work at heights as needed
Benefits
- $30–$34/hr DOE
- Mileage to the project site + project to project
- $120/day per diem (work 6, paid 7)
