About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder who takes ownership of their work and contributes to a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role involves welding and fabricating components, interpreting blueprints, operating welding equipment, and ensuring the quality and safety of all work performed. You will be an integral part of a team that values craftsmanship and supports each other in achieving production goals.

Requirements

  • Alberta Journeyman Welder certification
  • Minimum 2 years welding experience
  • Strong MIG and wire welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Solid understanding of workplace safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Physically able to perform hands-on industrial work
  • Must be clean-shaven when required for respiratory protection
  • Successful candidates must pass required pre-employment testing, including functional fitness, mask fit, audiometric testing, and drug/alcohol screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Production or manufacturing welding experience
  • Strong fabrication and fit-up skills
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior welders

Responsibilities

  • Weld and fabricate components using MIG and wire welding processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
  • Operate welding and cutting equipment (GMAW, plasma cutter, oxyacetylene torch)
  • Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and consistency
  • Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and workmanship
  • Support continuous improvement and shop efficiency
  • Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
  • Act as a role model for safety and production best practices
