Successful candidates for the 90% Welder position must be responsible, safety-conscious individuals who possess the following qualifications: Have successfully completed a federally approved welder apprenticeship program or completion of a post-secondary welder program, or able to demonstrate the requisite skill level of Journeyman. Have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a multi-skilled welder (industrial experience preferred). Additional years of experience preferred and R-Stamp certification a plus. Must possess or be willing and capable of learning and utilizing secondary maintenance skills such as pipefitting and millwright. Experience with equipment associated with a pulp and paperboard operation a plus. Have experience in welding pipe (stainless steel, SMO and black iron), structural metal, tanks, etc. Be willing and able to use all skills in a true teamwork environment in order to safely accomplish work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in all types of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) Candidates will be invited to complete a welding test, and then will be invited for a panel interview prior to being selected. This position is at a starting wage of $37.85, with an increase to $39.96 at 95%, and $42.06 at the Journeyman level.
