This role involves laying out, assembling, and installing various pipe systems, studying blueprints, measuring, cutting, and joining pipe sections, using testing equipment, and performing tasks like drilling, trimming, and filing. Requirements

Pipe Fitter/Steamfitter journeyman by trade (Red Seal) – 5 years/9000 hours
Demonstrated ability to use various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck.
Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis.
Ability to meet the physical and sensory demands of the position.

Responsibilities

Lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, or industrial production or processing systems.
Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use, and lay out the sequence of tasks
Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass pipes, valves and fittings
Join pipe sections, related equipment and secure in position
Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks
Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and various power tools.
Cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
