About The Position

The Journeyman Sheet Metal/HVAC Installer plays a vital role on our field team, handling the precise installation of ductwork, HVAC systems, and ventilation components that form the core of building comfort and performance. From layout and assembly to final connections and system checks, this role ensures every detail is aligned with project specs and quality standards.
Working with experienced foremen and skilled tradespeople, you’ll have the opportunity to sharpen your technical abilities, stay current with evolving HVAC practices, and take ownership of your work in the field. Whether you're aiming to lead a crew or become a go-to expert in system installations, this position sets the foundation for long-term growth.

Requirements

• Journeyman or Master License required.
• Good physical condition and ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Good dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Aptitude for technical problem-solving.
• Familiarity with building codes and current laws/regulations.
• Ability to maintain clean and orderly tools/work area.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Expert knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials.
• Keen eye for detail.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or GED preferred or equivalent combination of skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform trade-specific tasks on a construction site.
• Oversee the productivity of crew.
• Ensure schedules and deadlines are met.
• Perform some layout activities.
• Perform some material takeoffs as necessary.
• Trade-related material, tool, and equipment requisitions.
• Perform planned maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Perform equipment start-up with associated documentation.
• Perform quality control inspections.
• Technical troubleshooting and diagnostics when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
