About The Position
The Times Union is seeking an experienced offset journeyman pressperson to join its Albany, NY, production operation. If hired, you will work with a close-knit team responsible for maintaining and operating a state-of-the-art KBA Commander CL press that produces Times Union and numerous commercial print publications in a high-quality and cost-effective manner, seven days a week.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of web offset newspaper or commercial printing experience
- Able to produce high-quality print results on a consistent basis
- Detail oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines and customer expectations
- Well-developed verbal communication skills
- Fluency with computerized press controls and operator interfaces
- Technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude for newspaper printing operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and operating a state-of-the-art KBA Commander CL press
- Producing Times Union and numerous commercial print publications in a high-quality and cost-effective manner
- Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
