About The Position

Environmental Plumbing Solutions (EPS), an established commercial plumbing company serving the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex for over 30 years, is hiring an experienced Journeyman Plumber for its commercial construction team. The role supports Foremen and Lead Plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of water, gas, sewer, drainage, and general plumbing systems in commercial and industrial properties. Projects include restaurants, retail centers, airports, commercial buildings, and other new construction and renovation work throughout the DFW area. The ideal candidate has strong commercial plumbing experience, can accurately interpret blueprints, and takes pride in quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and productive job site. The position involves work at commercial construction sites indoors, outdoors, underground, and in multi-story buildings, and requires coordination with other trades and regular communication with supervisory staff.

Requirements

At least 5 years of commercial plumbing experience; commercial new-construction experience is preferred.
Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License.
Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance standards.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex commercial plumbing blueprints and construction specifications.
Experience installing water, gas, sewer, and drainage piping systems.
Knowledge of commercial plumbing installations, including underground, rough-in, top-out, and finish work.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a construction crew.
Must own basic hand tools, including pipe wrenches, channel locks, copper cutters, a torch head, and cordless tools; a complete tool list is provided upon hire.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds unassisted; heavier items are moved using mechanical equipment or team assistance.
Must successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening, including background check, drug screening, physical abilities assessment, and Motor Vehicle Record review.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain water, gas, sewer, drain lines, and general plumbing systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
Read, interpret, and apply blueprints, construction drawings, and job specifications to lay out and complete plumbing installations.
Perform underground plumbing, rough-ins, top-outs, fixture installations, and finish plumbing.
Prefabricate piping assemblies, fixtures, and related plumbing components as directed by supervisory staff.
Perform interior and exterior caulking, general plumbing installations, and related repairs.
Assist with excavation, trenching, ditch digging, and backfilling.
Operate hand and power tools, and operate specialized equipment such as boring machines, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when properly trained and authorized.
Supply and maintain required personal hand tools; clean, inspect, and maintain company tools, equipment, and machinery.
Load and unload tools, materials, hardware, and equipment for daily work assignments.
Move heavy materials and equipment safely using dollies, pushcarts, racks, and other appropriate lifting equipment.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; clean up job sites and properly dispose of waste materials.
Coordinate work activities with other trades to support project schedules and minimize disruptions.
Communicate regularly with Foremen and Lead Plumbers about job progress, material needs, and task completion; review work assignments with supervisory staff.
Complete required job documentation, forms, and other paperwork accurately and on time.
Work independently when instructed or collaboratively with crew members to complete assigned tasks.
Wear required PPE and follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable job-site safety procedures.
Use safe work procedures around excavation areas, raw sewage, construction-site electrical hazards, moving equipment, and vehicle traffic.
Perform other duties as assigned.
