About The Position

We are hiring Journeyman Plumbers to work on a range of jobsites across our Georgia service area. You'll be expected to work independently, lead your section of the job, and coordinate with foremen and other trades. You will be based out of our Alpharetta Shop, but travel to active construction jobsites will be needed. Candidates must be willing to travel to locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Georgia Journeyman Plumber license — required, no exceptions
  • 5+ years of hands-on field experience in residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing
  • Strong working knowledge of the Georgia Uniform Plumbing Code (CUPC) and IPC
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and isometric drawings without supervision
  • Proficiency with pipe threading machines, press tools, and power tools standard to the trade
  • Comfort working at height, in confined spaces, and in active construction environments
  • Valid Georgia driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation and ability to travel
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with medical gas, process piping, or high-purity systems
  • Backflow prevention tester certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certifications

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and maintain commercial and industrial plumbing systems from layout to finish
  • Read and work from blueprints, isometric drawings, and project specs
  • Lay out and install supply lines, drain/waste/vent (DWV) systems, and fixtures
  • Assemble and join pipe using threading, soldering, press fittings, grooved couplings, or cement as required by the system
  • Coordinate underground rough-in, overhead rough-in, and above-ceiling work with foreman and GC schedules
  • Inspect completed work for code compliance and ensure all rough-in passes inspection on the first visit
  • Identify material needs and communicate shortfalls to foreman before they become delays
  • Mentor and guide helpers working under your direction
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
