About The Position

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems in residential construction projects in accordance with company standards, project specifications, state and local plumbing codes, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and experienced in all phases of residential plumbing construction, from underground and rough-in installations through trim-out and final completion.

Requirements

  • Current Journeyman Plumber License, where required by state or local jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of residential plumbing construction experience.
  • Experience in single-family, multifamily, or production residential construction environments.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plumbing schematics, and construction plans.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and installation practices.
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and productivity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in production homebuilding and multifamily construction environments.
  • Experience leading crews or mentoring apprentices.
  • Medical gas certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, and equipment in single-family and multifamily residential construction projects.
  • Perform underground, rough-in, top-out, and trim-out plumbing installations according to project schedules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plumbing drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Install water supply, drain, waste, vent (DWV), gas, and fixture systems in accordance with applicable plumbing codes.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation.
  • Coordinate work activities with project managers, superintendents, builders, inspectors, and other trades.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and perform corrective work as needed.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies at all times.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
