About The Position

Journeyman Network Services Specialist for the EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate (EPASS HN II) contract, supporting the C3I & Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNI) located at Hanscom AFB, MA. This role involves advising and supporting work related to the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems for voice, data, and video transmission.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a related field
• Ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed
• Five years of experience in the DoD
• Two additional years of technical network engineering experience with proper certifications may substitute for Master’s degree
• Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise
• Experience configuring, operating, and testing DoD C4ISR components, systems, and tactical architectures
• Knowledge of IP-Based networks and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devices (KG-175/250)
• Equipment familiarity with Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI), Joint Range Extension (JRE), Gateway Manager, Multifunctional Information Distribution System Low Volume Terminal (MIDS LVT), and Common Data Link (CDL)

• Analyze and recommend network requirements
• Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure
• Analyze network workload
• Monitor network capacity and performance
• Diagnose and resolve network problems
• Recommend network backup and recovery procedures
• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software
• Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
