About The Position

GrizzlyTrek is seeking one Journeyman Millwright to join our valued client's team at a local mine near Exshaw, Alberta. This is a full-time, permanent position for an experienced Industrial Mechanic responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining stationary rotating equipment and storage equipment. The successful candidate will assemble, install, align, adjust, and repair various types of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. You will demonstrate competency in performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards and protocols.

Requirements

  • Certified Journeyman Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) with relevant industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of machinery and equipment related to the millwright trade
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions
  • Ability to handle heavy machinery and materials, including standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
  • Proficiency in ensuring precise alignment and adjustments of machinery
  • Strict adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines, with experience using safety gear
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalency

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, align, adjust, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on stationary rotating and storage equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime
  • Ensure precise alignment and adjustments of machinery for optimal performance
  • Comply with all safety regulations, procedures, and site protocols at all times
  • Collaborate with team members and management to efficiently execute tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
