About The Position

Alpha Inc. is looking for a Journeyman Mason who owns their craft, commands respect on the jobsite, and takes pride in turning raw materials into structures that will outlast all of us. This role requires precision, timing, muscle, and mindset, with an understanding of concrete work, including the flow of a pour, the importance of prep, and the difference between "good enough" and "damn right." The ideal candidate is someone who fixes problems before they are called out, leads by example, and moves with urgency without sacrificing quality. Requirements

  • 3+ years of masonry experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and materials
  • Skilled with hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read the job, anticipate issues, and adjust in real time
  • You don’t wait to be told, you act
  • You handle pressure without cutting corners
  • You show up consistent, dependable, and accountable
  • Lift/carry up to 100 lbs
  • Climb, kneel, bend, and stay on your feet for long durations
  • Work outdoors in Hawaiʻi conditions—rain or shine
  • Completion of standard pre-employment screening.
  • Successful completion of a background check conducted after a conditional offer
  • Passing a drug test
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Valid Driver’s License with clean record

Responsibilities

  • Set, align, and inspect forms with precision, no shortcuts
  • Lead concrete placement: pouring, leveling, screeding, and finishing
  • Shape, edge, joint, and finish surfaces to spec and beyond
  • Operate tools and machinery
  • Direct laborers, coordinate with drivers, and keep pours running clean
  • Apply sealants, finishes, and specialty treatments (stamping, staining, etc.)
  • Maintain jobsite safety
  • Show up prepared, contribute in crew huddles, and drive productivity daily
