About The Position
Benton REA is seeking a temporary Journeyman Lineman casual employee to join our Operations department. This role involves performing skilled installation, construction, maintenance, and repair of the Association's electrical utility distribution and transmission systems. The temporary assignment is expected to last up to six (6) months, with a potential opportunity to turn into a regular full-time assignment. This position will work out of either Benton REA location, Prosser or West Richland.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Journeyman Lineman Certificate.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL).
- Current First Aid, CPR Card, and flagging card, or ability to obtain certifications within 3 months of hire.
- Must become a member of IBEW and pay associated union dues.
Nice To Haves
- Training and experience using hot sticks.
- Member and in good standing with IBEW.
