About The Position

Borja Engineering & Construction, Inc. is hiring an experienced plumber to work on private and prevailing-wage projects in San Diego, California. The Journeyman Plumber will diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems while providing outstanding customer service, and support the management team on private and public projects. This opportunity is intended for a team player seeking long-term employment with a company that values skill, professionalism, and customer care. Compensation is $31.00–$91.00 per hour.

BORJA is a general building and general engineering contractor focused on Sustainment, Renovation, and Modernization (SRM) projects. Its services include general construction, construction management, cost estimating, and value engineering. The firm is a Certified SDVOSB and 8(a) Small Business.

Requirements

• Experience as a plumber.
• A C-36 plumber license is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and layouts.
• Experience with water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
• Experience with rough-in, top-out, and finish work.
• Must have basic tools and a work truck.
• Ability to think critically and problem-solve.
• Ability to work in inclement weather.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand or walk for long periods.
• Ability to take direction and work independently while completing daily tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow company policies, procedures, and applicable safety rules.

Nice To Haves

• C-36 plumber license.
