About The Position

The Journeyman Electrician performs commercial electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-project installations across a variety of commercial facilities. This role requires a valid Journeyman Electrician License and strong technical skill in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in active, occupied buildings. The work involves electrical installation for EV charging infrastructure, including installing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing charging stations, equipment pads, switchgear, and related site components. The role also requires clear and prompt communication of field issues to the project team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years in a commercial service role.
  • Expert-level troubleshooting skills in a commercial setting.
  • Must have ability to run and lead small-size projects (1-4 electricians).
  • Possess an active state Journeyman electrical license.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Ability to pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-project installations.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in active, occupied buildings.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and diagnose charging stations, equipment pads, switchgear, and related site components.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC code.
  • Perform NEC calculations.
  • Execute all types of conduit bends using various bender types.
  • Install raceways, boxes, cables, panels, breakers, and transformers.
  • Assist with wire pulling and switchboard installation.
  • Install light fixtures, devices, and cover plates.
  • Connect branch circuits including terminations and equipment.
  • Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of control systems and components.
  • Run and lead small-size projects (1-4 electricians).
  • Communicate field issues clearly and promptly to the project team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
