About The Position
The Journeyman Industrial Millwright plays a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment across various manufacturing and production facilities. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Industrial Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Valid Journeyman Industrial Millwright certification or license recognized in the United States.
- Proven experience working with industrial machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rigging procedures.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Mechanical aptitude daily to install and maintain complex machinery, ensuring precise alignment and functionality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents allows them to follow detailed instructions and blueprints accurately.
- Troubleshooting skills are essential for diagnosing mechanical failures and implementing effective repairs promptly.
- Communication and teamwork skills facilitate collaboration with engineers and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
- Adherence to safety protocols and the use of specialized tools and equipment are critical to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

- Experience with CNC machinery and automated production equipment.
- Certification in welding or fabrication.

- Additional safety certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or confined space entry training.
Responsibilities
- Install, dismantle, and relocate industrial machinery and equipment according to blueprints, manuals, and specifications.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and longevity.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and execute timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Align and fit machinery components with precision using specialized tools and instruments.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades and modifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Operate hoisting and rigging equipment safely to move heavy machinery and components.
