About The Position

PAPE’ MACHINERY, INC. – CONSTRUCTION & FORESTRY DIVISION – is seeking a Journeyman level Field Technician to join their team in Kona, HI. This role involves working on construction and forestry equipment at customer locations to ensure peak performance and maximize uptime. As a journeyman, you will be relied upon for challenging tasks, traveling in a service vehicle, performing high-quality work, and interacting with customers.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing all brands of heavy diesel equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must provide own tools.

Nice To Haves

• Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on construction and forestry equipment at customer locations.
• Ensure equipment is running in peak form and maximizing uptime.
• Perform challenging diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Travel the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle.
• Perform top-notch work on equipment.
• Interact with customers.
