About The Position

Lee’s Summit Heating and Cooling, a brand of Clarion Home Services Group, is hiring a full-time Journeyman Electrician for on-site, field-based work in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and surrounding areas. The role performs residential electrical service, maintenance, and repairs, along with installation and troubleshooting of wiring, fixtures, panels, and related equipment. The electrician may lead crews on assigned projects and works with Project Managers to complete projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining customer relationships and safety and quality standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with daily hours varying according to business demands. This is a variable full-time role of up to 40 hours per week; weekly hours may fluctuate with seasonal needs and project volume. Occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required. Daily travel to residential and commercial job sites within the local branch’s service region is required. Compensation is $25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and other job-related factors. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with overtime eligibility and biweekly pay.

Requirements

At least 2 years of electrician experience in residential or commercial work is preferred.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
High integrity and a strong desire for continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods; frequently bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and twist while working.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds.
Must be comfortable and able to safely climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, or bucket trucks at various heights.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather and potentially extreme temperatures, including heat and cold, and in dusty, wet, or dirty spaces.

Nice To Haves

Residential or commercial electrician experience of at least 2 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform residential electrical service, maintenance, and repairs.
Install power, control, fire alarm, and communication wiring in conduit.
Mount and install light fixtures, lighting controls, breaker panels, transformers, disconnects, meter sockets, and related equipment.
Install and troubleshoot electrical equipment and fire alarm panels.
Lead crews on assigned projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Maintain strong customer relationships and uphold safety and quality standards.
Work with Project Managers to ensure projects finish on time and within budget.
Travel daily to residential and commercial job sites throughout the local branch’s service region.
