About The Position

Florida Hot Tub & Sauna is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician with strong technical ability, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a high level of reliability. This is not an entry‑level position. The role involves installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of sauna heaters, steam generators, salt room systems, control panels, and specialty wellness equipment in both residential and commercial environments. This work requires precision, adherence to NEC standards, and the ability to interpret detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, and project plans. You will collaborate closely with our Project Managers, Operations Team, and Service Department to support installations in luxury homes, high‑rise condos, hotels, and commercial wellness facilities.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician with 3–5+ years of electrical field experience.
  • Strong understanding of 120/240V line voltage and low‑voltage control wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Clean, organized workmanship and strong attention to detail.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work on ladders, in mechanical rooms, and in finished luxury interiors.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA certification (preferred or must be obtained).
  • Experience with sauna, steam, or salt room equipment (Harvia, MrSteam, Thermasol, etc.).
  • Background in HVAC electrical, appliances, pool heaters, or specialty equipment.
  • Knowledge of NEC codes related to wet/damp locations.
  • Strong understanding of low‑voltage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and commission sauna heaters (Harvia, Finnleo, EOS, etc.), steam generators (MrSteam, Thermasol, Amerec), salt room equipment and control systems, low‑voltage and line‑voltage control panels, LED and fiber‑optic lighting, and ventilation and fan systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and shop drawings.
  • Terminate connections cleanly and professionally in accordance with NEC and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform equipment startup, testing, and commissioning.
  • Diagnose electrical issues in sauna, steam, and salt room systems.
  • Perform on‑site repairs with minimal downtime.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance for residential and commercial clients.
  • Document work clearly in Service Fusion/work order systems.
  • Communicate professionally with clients while on‑site.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts, labor, and equipment performance.
  • Keep service vehicle stocked with essential tools and replacement parts.
  • Coordinate with Operations for scheduling, parts ordering, and follow‑ups.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and job‑site regulations.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, and customer‑focused service.
