About The Position

This position provides a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment through cleaning and general maintenance under the direction of a supervisor. The Journeyman Electrician independently performs preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and services on various electrical systems. The role participates in the overall building management program to provide high quality, cost effective service with a high emphasis on customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include communicating and collaborating with supervisors, customers, and other trades to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective maintenance. The individual will perform comprehensive electrical maintenance, including the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of conduit, junction boxes, and fixtures for lighting, power, and other electrical systems, adhering to specifications and electrical codes. This also involves measuring, cutting, and installing conduit, wire, and fittings using hand and power tools, documenting work, ensuring proper care and safe use of equipment, and maintaining clean work areas. The role also encompasses electrical construction work, including layout, demolition, and construction of various electrical systems, ensuring compliance with legal specifications and organizational policies, and coordinating workflow with other trades.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience
• LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan
• LIC-Electrical Grand Rapids - STATE_MI State of Michigan

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with the supervisor, customer, and other trades and sub-contractors to ensure quality, timely, cost effective maintenance with continuity and coordination of services.
• Performs comprehensive electrical maintenance including the assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of conduit, junction boxes, and fixtures of lighting, power, and other electrical systems, according to specifications and electrical codes.
• Measures, cuts, and installs conduit, wire, and fittings using hand and power tools.
• Documents procedures and work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensures proper care, maintenance and safe use of equipment and supplies and keep work areas orderly, clean and safe.
• Performs electrical construction work including layout, demolition and construction of all types of electrical systems.
• Ensures that all electrical services are provided in accordance with legal specifications, electrical codes, organizational policy, and compliance requirements.
• Plans and coordinates work flow with other trades and acts as resource related to electrical systems.
