About The Position

Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking an Electrician to ensure the reliability and safety of facility electrical infrastructure. The role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing electrical systems; performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime; using diagnostic tools to assess performance and identify issues; and maintaining accurate records in a computerized maintenance system. The position requires understanding electrical load calculations, following safety standards, and collaborating in a culturally diverse team environment. This is an overnight night-shift role at IAH Airport, with availability for varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs dictate.

Requirements

Valid driver license.
Journeyman license.
Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport.
Availability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs dictate.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
3+ years of electrical experience.
Ability to understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
Proficiency in CMMS and office software, including spreadsheets, word processing, and project management.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and instruments.
Calculate electrical load requirements and ensure proper installation of wiring and components.
Accurately document work in the CMMS system.
Follow all safety protocols and complete required training.
Collaborate effectively in a diverse, multicultural team environment.
