Building Waters is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you'll perform residential and light commercial electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and service work while delivering an outstanding customer experience on every job.

Requirements

  • Current Journeyman Electrician License (required).
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems (light commercial experience is a plus).
  • Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and light commercial properties.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
  • Install wiring, electrical panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical components.
  • Diagnose electrical problems and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
  • Work safely while maintaining a clean and organized job site.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, explaining repairs and recommendations.
  • Complete work orders and documentation accurately.
  • Assist in training and mentoring apprentice electricians.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
