About The Position

The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. They will work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. In this role you will work in locations along the Wasatch Front. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits. The Journeyman Electrician will report to the Electrical Foreman and work closely with the production team to ensure optimal performance of industrial machinery and equipment.

Requirements

• Completion of an apprenticeship program and Journeyman Electrician certification
• 3+ years of experience in industrial, commercial and/or residential electrical installation and repair
• Valid Utah State Journeyman Electrician License
• Knowledge of electrical systems and codes and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints
• Familiarity with a variety of electrical tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity of PLC controls and Relay Logic preferred

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels
• Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
• Inspect components, including wiring and electrical products to ensure they’re safe and within the required code
• Log time and resources in E360
• Commute between work locations along the Wasatch Front
• Monitor inventory to ensure adequate stock
• Maintain tools and equipment ensuring they are in good working condition
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and provide solutions
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Keep up-to-date with industry codes and standards and ensure compliance in all work
• Collaborate with other trades professionals, such as HVAC technicians or plumbers, as needed
• Communicate with customers to understand their electrical needs and provide recommendations
• Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians, as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety protocols and procedures
