About The Position

Under moderate supervision, performs skilled electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in Water and Wastewater systems. Employee performs Journeyman-level electrical work involving moderate to complex electrical maintenance and repair operations as well as installation work. Completes in-depth and timely troubleshooting and repairs of all industrial related electrical equipment. Provides general facility maintenance activities to electrical equipment and fixtures at the Water and Wastewater facilities. Trains workers in electrical safety and maintains a clean and safe working environment. Work is often performed in cramped, dirty and noisy environments in close contact with high voltage.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of industrial plant electrical experience performing journey-level work installing, maintaining and conducting repairs on industrial electrical systems, or a combination of education, experience, or training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position.
  • Valid Idaho State Journeyman Electrician's license
  • Must have and maintain a valid Idaho Driver’s License.
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorization in the United States that does not require employer sponsorship.

Benefits

  • One-Time Recruitment Incentive: The selected candidate will be eligible for a one-time recruitment incentive equal to 10% of the position's annualized base salary at the time of hire. The incentive will be paid in three installments of approximately one-third each upon successful completion of the 1st month, 6th month, and 12th month of employment. Continued employment in good standing is required at the time each payment is issued. The total incentive for $37.12 per hour is $7,720.96. -End of 1st months pay: $2,573.65 -End of 6 months pay: $2,573.65 -End of 12 months pay: $2,573.66
