About The Position

Harris Comfort, a trusted family-owned home comfort and energy provider based in Bristol, PA, is seeking a skilled, licensed Electrician to join our growing field service team. In this role, you will be our go-to professional handling residential power delivery, high-end equipment hookups, panel upgrades, and automatic standby generator installations. In this unique role, you will be our premier cross-trained professional. You will handle heavy residential electrical installations, including electrical panel upgrades and automatic standby generators (as a certified Generac Power Pro Premier Dealer), while actively installing, wiring, and commissioning high-efficiency HVAC equipment. If you are a licensed electrician who enjoys mechanical hands-on work, premium equipment installations, and representing a respected local brand, we want you on our team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED; completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship or trade school program.
  • Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license (Required).
  • 1-2 years of professional residential electrical service experience.
  • Proficient in bending conduit, sizing wires, and reading standard residential electrical blueprints.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, you will be representing our brand directly inside local homes.
  • Physical ability to navigate attics, crawlspaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate a company-issued service vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with whole-home generator installations is a plus.
  • Manufacturer training certifications (e.g., Generac) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and commission residential and light commercial standby generator systems and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
  • Coordinate sub-panel installations and utility line tie-ins to support seamless whole-home backup power.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and component replacement on existing standby systems.
  • Run power supply wiring, conduit (EMT/PVC), and disconnect boxes for newly installed HVAC equipment, heat pumps, and boilers.
  • Execute residential service entries and panel upgrades (e.g., 100A to 200A/400A service changes) to accommodate modern climate and power demands.
  • Balance panel loads and handle associated low-voltage wiring for controls and smart thermostats when integrated with heavy equipment installs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair standard residential electrical faults, short circuits, and code violations.
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Bucks County/municipal building regulations.
  • Strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA safety protocols.
