About The Position

Electricians are needed for commercial and industrial work in Flint, Michigan, including some high-profile projects. The employer is especially seeking journey-level and supervisory-level workers. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and modifying electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial settings. Workers collaborate with contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget. On-call support for emergency electrical repairs is also part of the position.

Requirements

Journey-level electrician experience or qualifications are especially needed.
Supervisory-level workers are also especially needed.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors, and equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Ensure electrical work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and complete electrical installations and upgrades.
Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to improve performance or meet new requirements.
Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs.
