Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 4 years of experience is required.
  • Must possess a minimum of a Vermont State Journeyman License.
  • Must possess applicable knowledge of electrical testing equipment, e.g. ammeters, voltmeter, conduit-bending equipment, power hand tools and hand tools.
  • Must possess applicable knowledge of plant machinery and equipment, replacement parts, control cabinets, wiring, and conduit.

Nice To Haves

  • A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • We will consider Master Electrician level depending on candidate qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and equipment and to determine materials and parts needed.
  • Plan and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specifications, codes and properties of various materials.
  • Locate source of trouble in electrical equipment when needed, by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for faulty operation.
  • Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls and fixtures.
  • Wire and connect all types of electrical equipment as for new installation or replacement of facilities, per the National Electrical Code.
  • Perform calibration of plant equipment, as required.
  • Consider all safety precautions and the proper isolation of circuits to cause a minimum of interference to operations.
  • Clean up machinery and work area after performing maintenance functions.
