About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for the installation and maintenance of all electrical aspects of the facility and equipment, including lighting, presses, paint line, and compressors. The work environment is representative of conditions typical for a manufacturing facility and is not climate-controlled. Safety precautions must always be followed to reduce exposure to hazards. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, loud environments, and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.

Requirements

  • Must be able to see color vision, specifically the ability to perceive a wide range of colors accurately and distinguish minimal variations in color.
  • Certified Electrician or 10-15 years of electrical experience in an industrial setting (willing to take classes to advance skills if needed).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a team setting.
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding health and safety compliance training programs and departmental work instructions that are written in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to pass pulmonary function test and respirator exam to wear negative pressure respiratory protection.
  • Must be clean shaven in the face piece-to face-sealing surface when wearing a respirator.
  • If vision corrective lenses must be worn, must be able to wear glasses. Contacts are not allowed under certain working conditions.
  • Weight Limitation: must weigh not more than 310 pounds (person plus tools) in order to use fall protection equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all motor control systems and all electrical aspects of pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuit issues.
  • Read and accurately interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Safely operate cranes, hoists, forklift and man-lift.
  • Utilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, mechanical, and Tool and Die.
  • Perform general repairs to heavy machinery, and other preventive maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
  • Employees are required to provide their own tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.
