About The Position

This role is responsible for a wide range of duties related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of company equipment and facilities. This includes safety management, record keeping, work planning and coordination, and hands-on fabrication and repair of various components. The position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with different materials.

Requirements

Possess requisite education attained through an apprenticeship program or other formal educational program specializing in the trade such as through ITT Tech, UTI, etc.
Working knowledge of all machine shop fabrication equipment & techniques.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written or oral specifications and instructions.
Must be able to determine proper pre-heating and post-heating.
Physically and mentally able to perform all duties.
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license for duration while in this position.
Must be able to work overtime on daily and/or weekly basis.

Responsibilities

Conducting safety meetings with assigned personnel.
Maintaining and/or submitting equipment history files, drawings, and other records.
Planning, laying out, and coordinating work procedures and assigning work to others.
Coordinating, directing, and performing the installation and repair of all company equipment and facilities, including mobile and stationary equipment, structures, pipelines, valves, pumps, pump station equipment, conveyors, pulpers, dryers, and coffee factory equipment.
Disassembling equipment to be repaired, checking for flaws, cracks, or worn parts, and making necessary repairs, adjustments, and modifications.
Working with others to identify problems, planning, requesting materials, and scheduling personnel to correct problems.
Designing and constructing special jigs and fixtures to facilitate work completion.
Fabricating and constructing parts out of various metals and/or plastics.
Filing, chipping, and fitting machinery and machine parts.
Aligning shafting, pulleys, etc.
Inspecting all finished jobs and issuing completion and release orders.
Performing other work as directed by supervisor.
