About The Position

The Work Leaderman position is responsible for assisting supervisors with job assignment of craft workers. Other key responsibilities are training craft personnel, working on his/her tools as a journeyman within specified craft and substituting for foreman when he/she is not available. Position is considered to be a transitional assignment for personnel interested in pursuing craft management positions.

Requirements

• Must be a current employee of HII-Ingalls
• Superior Attendance and Disciplinary Record
• At time of application currently in the classification of joiner with at least (1) year of journeyman experience and actively at work or graduate of Huntington Ingalls Industries apprentice program in respective craft.
• Possess leadership qualities: Safety proponent, Commitment to Quality, Timely completion of assignments, Shares skills/knowledge with others willingly, Demonstrates Huntington Ingalls Industries values of dignity and respect

• 1st Class Joiner
• 5 years Joiner journeyman experience
• Achievement of High School Education or GED
