About The Position

The Jobscope Developer (RPG Developer) will support, enhance, and maintain the Jobscope ERP system. The role involves working with IBM i (AS/400) technologies, including RPG programming, to develop custom solutions, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize business processes across manufacturing and distribution functions. This is an onsite position. At this time, we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role, either now or in the future. Therefore, we cannot move forward with candidates who would require sponsorship and or are on (e.g., H-1B, F-1, STEM OPT, OPT) visas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Three plus (3+) years of experience in RPG programming on IBM i (AS/400)
  • Hands-on experience with Jobscope ERP system
  • Strong knowledge of RPGLE, CL, DDS, and DB2 for i
  • Experience with SQL on IBM i
  • Understanding of ERP systems, especially in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize legacy code
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and maintain applications within the Jobscope ERP system.
  • Write, test, and debug programs using RPG (RPG IV / RPGLE / Free-format RPG).
  • Support IBM i (AS/400) environment, including system integrations and enhancements.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Customize Jobscope modules (Manufacturing, Inventory, Finance, Order Processing, etc.)
  • Perform system testing, deployment, and documentation of changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and system issues.
  • Work with databases using DB2 for i, including writing queries and optimizing performance.
  • Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and vendors for ongoing improvements.
  • Provide user support and technical guidance.
