About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Job Shop Welder- 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $26.28 with $1.20 shift differential per hour. As a Welder you will be responsible for welding assemblies and components using welding equipment. You will interpret drawings and shop orders to perform welding operations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Working knowledge of operations, to include TIG, MIG of aluminum and/or stainless steel
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
• Ability to follow directions, work independently and pay close attention to detail
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate

Nice To Haves

• Spot-welding experience
• Basic computer skills
• Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.
• Able to read, interpret blueprints and use simple measuring tools
• Ability to TIG weld aluminum

Responsibilities

• Set up, understand. and proficiently operate all welding equipment.
• Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
• ID and tag shop orders with product. Retrieve/enter data into system.
• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
• Weld components based on print specifications.
• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Using Blue prints, be able to fabricate and Fit Large Enclosures
• Ability to weld TIG and MIG in all positions
• Ability to work independently of others
