About The Position

The Job Readiness Coordinator at The Midnight Mission supports the Director of Programs by coordinating the activities of clients engaged in the Job Rotation Program. The Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that clients are effectively integrated into Job Rotation Program assignments and receive the necessary support and training to enhance their employability and life skills. An understanding of the 12-step recovery process and the ability to model recovery-oriented principles such as accountability, community support, and resilience are essential. Lived experience with recovery and/or direct experience working with individuals in recovery is highly desirable.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in program support, workforce development, or a related area.
  • Working knowledge of the 12-step process and recovery culture, including how recovery principles can be integrated into job readiness and life skills development.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in data tracking and report generation.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of The Midnight Mission.
  • Any combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree (preferred) in Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Lived experience in recovery and/or professional experience working with recovery populations is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in Spanish is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assign job tasks to clients based on their skills, capabilities, and therapeutic goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress within the Job Rotation Program.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure clients receive appropriate training and support.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, staff, and other departments to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Integrate recovery principles into program coordination, ensuring client assignments support both vocational development and recovery stability.
  • Serve as a role model and ally for clients navigating the 12-step process, supporting attendance at meetings, sponsorship relationships, and other program-aligned recovery activities.
  • Work closely with the Education Center to align Job Rotation Program assignments with educational and vocational training.
  • Ensure clients gain skills and experiences that enhance their employability and independence.
  • Assist in developing and implementing training programs in collaboration with Education Center staff.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of client participation in Job Rotation Program.
  • Collect and analyze data related to client progress and program outcomes.
  • Assist in creating and presenting reports for internal use, including program evaluations and outcome tracking.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for clients participating in Job Rotation Program.
  • Stay informed about best practices in Job Rotation Program and workforce development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Programs.
