About The Position

The Job Developer will provide job placement services to the clients that are enrolled into the JEVS The Choice is Yours Diversion program, and the clients that are receiving post-release services that have been released to Philadelphia from the JEVS Get Ready, Get Set, Get Out Re-entry program.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, Philadelphia Defenders Association, Philadelphia Criminal Municipal Court, PDDC Philadelphia Department of prisons, BCC/DOC
  • Ability to collaborate to provide job search and job placement activities such as unsubsidized employment, unpaid work experience, and Community Service opportunities.
  • Proficiency in using assessment results and software for customized job development, matching, and placement.
  • Skill in identifying employers open to hiring clients with a criminal background with potential job openings.
  • Experience in developing job leads for clients with area second chance employers.
  • Ability to set up interviews with employers.
  • Experience in developing ongoing relationships with second-chance employers.
  • Ability to meet and develop relationships with D&R clients needing employment.
  • Skill in engaging D&R clients in the direction of employment.
