About The Position

This role involves assisting individuals in developing and implementing supported employment and support services. The Job Coach will analyze job and environmental needs, develop behavior management plans, and carry out skill training plans for participants. Responsibilities also include assisting participants with mobility and communication needs in the community, identifying and addressing participant needs, maintaining detailed records of services provided, and preparing reports. The position requires participation in staff meetings and constant communication with supervisors. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must maintain a CA driver's license and be insured to drive in California
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Must approach daily work with a positive customer service commitment
  • Must show sensitivity to diversity
  • Must adapt to varying customer behavior
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond to specific instructions and to meet deadlines relative to paperwork
  • Must have strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of experience in the Human Services field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing supported employment and support service activities

  • While in the community, assist participants with their mobility and communication needs
  • Identify participant needs and address them as appropriate

  • Participate in regular staff meetings and maintain constant communication with supervisors
  • Other duties as assigned
