About The Position

The Job Coach is responsible for reviewing, determining, and coordinating services for clients to facilitate social and vocational integration. This involves interviewing and evaluating client needs, formulating treatment plans, arranging services, and assisting clients in obtaining them. The role also includes developing client-specific jobs by matching skills to career paths, researching employers, and assisting employers with training issues. The Job Coach will develop and utilize natural supports for vocational success, including transportation and human support systems. Additionally, the position requires completing documentation for billing, interpreting contracts, and assisting clients in achieving their maximum potential and self-determination.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 6 months in service-oriented environment ideally in a job development capacity
  • Above average interpersonal, verbal and written communications
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency in using office equipment (copier, fax, calculator, telephone system)
  • Ability to organize tasks, record and produce accurate work
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Periodic travel to various intrastate sites (which may involve overnight stay)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current automotive insurance
  • Dependable transportation
  • Availability to operate vehicle during day/night
  • First Aid/CPR Training (Required)
  • Willing to work schedules based on individual client needs and overtime as required
  • Expected to learn and follow the Individual Plan (IP) of clients
  • Criminal Background free of encumbrances identified by the State of Oklahoma Health Department
  • Mentally and physically capable to perform the duties of the position

Responsibilities

  • Review, determine, and coordinate or provide necessary services for client social/vocational integration.
  • Develop client-specific jobs by matching client skills to complementary career paths and soliciting employers.
  • Assist employers with training issues and determine/arrange for adaptive devices or mentoring.
  • Develop and utilize natural supports (transportation, human support systems) for vocational success and socialization.
  • Complete all documentation necessary for billing, including job success plans, situational assessments, and benefits/disciplinary analyses.
  • Interpret and implement existing DRS and HOH contracts and performance requirements.
  • Keep current with regulatory developments and trends.
  • Assist client in achieving maximum potential and self-determination.
