The Job Coach will ensure that all work is carried out in a manner that is both respectful and empowering to families and individuals with disabilities. This role involves establishing and maintaining positive rapport with referring agency personnel to build productive, consistently high referral numbers. The coach will develop person-centered Employment Plans, provide employment-related preparatory training, and assist with job searches and placements. Once a job seeker is placed, the coach will provide on or off-site assistance to ensure the worker understands job tasks, has appropriate accommodations, and sufficient natural support to work independently. Documentation and reporting are key aspects of this role, as is referring job seekers for additional expert assistance. The program requires the coach to accept new referrals or coach 15 hours per week to ensure productivity. Alerting supervisors of case issues or successes promptly is also expected, along with performing other assigned duties.
