About The Position

To guide individuals in their job and vocational settings, document progress and attendance, provide coaching and mentoring. This role involves familiarizing yourself with individuals’ goals, job placements and job site expectations, and guiding individuals in learning to complete job tasks assigned by the job site. The Job Coach will monitor each individual’s job progress, break down or modify tasks as needed, and create lists, charts, or reminder notes to facilitate learning. The position requires assessing individual strengths and teaching them to be used effectively on the job site, assisting individuals to discover and overcome personal barriers, and setting goals for growth. Providing coaching in prioritizing job tasks and completing them in a logical sequence, and encouraging individuals to complete tasks in an increasingly timely manner are key aspects of this role. The Job Coach will monitor and evaluate client progress by keeping detailed progress notes and records for all goals and objectives. Additionally, this role assists individuals with disabilities in developing social and life skills, tracks all workers’ measurable goals, and ensures daily and weekly documentation is complete. The Job Coach is responsible for ensuring that all safety areas are maintained on a monthly basis, including completing monthly checklists and fire drills. Maintaining appropriate communications with parents/guardians, residential staff, DDS Case Managers, OWC Directors/other staff, and business contacts is essential. The role also includes tracking daily attendance for all workers in the program, ensuring Vocational Assessments are up to date, and assisting in providing a positive program environment for staff and participants. Being a team player, learning and following all agency policies and procedures, and learning and following all safety and emergency procedures are also required. Involvement in OWC fundraising events and performing other assigned duties are part of the role.

Responsibilities
