About The Position

Beacon Group is seeking a patient, flexible, and dedicated Job Coach to work with, train, and supervise a team of adults with disabilities. This is a hands-on position where you will provide top-tier services for individuals on the team and quality service to the customers Beacon serves. The specific services provided depend on the location and site needs. Beacon Group is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona and Phoenix since 1952, serving over 2,000 individuals annually through job training, placement, supported employment, and day treatment programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience working with adults with disabilities.
  • Minimum of 6 months supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in field of work.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing to provide services to Behavioral Health clients referred by Arizona Complete Care Plans.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months of experience working with adults with disabilities.
  • Increased technical skills related to field of work.
  • Successfully pass the drug test and background check.
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or able to obtain and maintain a CPR/ First Aid Certification.
  • Fingerprint clearance card, or able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card.
  • Provide proof of good driving.
  • Have a valid Arizona Driver's License and pass the Beacon driving test.
  • Article IX and Prevention and Support certificate or able to obtain and maintain certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a GSA clearance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to balance, bend, stand, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, climb, and sit.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to tolerate environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, wetness, dust, noise, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to use good judgment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and use equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized skills and certificates such as, but not limited to: Arborist, Chemical Spraying, Landscaping Design, and Warehousing, specifically Inventory and Process Management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top of the line services for the individuals on the team.
  • Provide quality service to the customers we provide a variety of services for.
  • Work with, train, and supervise a team of adults with disabilities.
  • Write accurate, clear, and informative case notes.
  • Work, drive, and travel independently to various sites.
  • Use power tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Seek out other opportunities and responsibilities.
