Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • One year experience delivering supported employment services or direct care services.
  • Ability to read, write, recognize, understand and accomplish new assignments with only general instructions.
  • Consistently demonstrates MDI Core Values.
  • Copes with emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Able to communicate effectively program participants.
  • Satisfactory completion of a DHS Background Study and a criminal background check.
  • Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently model appropriate work skills.
  • Positively provide training, support and coaching to participants.
  • Work closely with supervisor, or line lead to introduce natural supports and provide prompts and feedback as needed.
  • Uphold and consistently follow program and licensing requirements.
  • Maintain and model positive relationships.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of disabilities of participants and the ability to provide quality service to them.
  • Meet mandatory training requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all current organizational policies.
  • Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment.
  • Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
